Benedict and Olivia are ‘taking a break’, which leaves Ben flying solo at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards, where he runs into old pal David Tennant. Not wanting to return home after the ceremony, they end up back at David’s apartment. But are Ben’s wandering tendencies and David’s offers of a sympathetic ear and good whiskey merely platonic, or is there some deeper emotion that runs between these two men?

And like it says above, the only Tennantbatch fic that I’m aware of on all of A03. Frankly I’m surprised it hasn’t been done before, with how worshipped both these men are on this crazy site. I want to state, for the record, that “all the avengers would live together in the tower” wasn’t collective headcanon, it was canon. The very last scene of Avengers (2012), the one they left us on, is Tony redesigning the tower, designing a living area for each Avenger. That was, canonically, what was supposed to happen, in canon, and they just changed their minds and decided to… not. For whatever goldarn reason.

Okay but the funniest part is this has happened multiple times. There are three instances of former Canadian and American national team players who have gotten married:

-Caroline Ouellette and Julie Chu (both former captains)

-Gillian Apps (former alternate captain) and Meghan Duggan (former captain)

-Jayna Hefford (former alternate captain) and Kathleen Kauth
